Welcome to the result of the global study on gender and mine action

The report "Gender and Landmines - From Concept to Practice", a global study analysing how gender is important in the fight against landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW), was launched by the GMAP in June 2008. It provides an overview and lists concrete examples of how gender can be mainstreamed in mine action. The report also includes a collection of good practices and recommendations from various mine action actors. The research is based on electronic consultations on gender and mine action and on field interviews in Colombia, Lebanon, Mozambique, Sri Lanka and Sudan.
